Why I chose to take AICE media

With the new school year starting up, I reflected upon my previous class choices made the year prior, and I believed that I would get the classes I chose in a schedule that worked. However, the first day proved to be complicated as I was satisfied in most of my classes with one shining as a mistake. Originally, I had United States history honors as my sixth period, but I was already (and still am) taking that class through Florida Virtual school, so someone or something must have overlooked something leading to me having the same class in two forms, one in school and one online. I went to fix the mistake during my sixth period on my first day and ended up having my counselor make research one my sixth period; however, this was also an unforeseen scheduling mistake, resulting in over thirty kids being in one classroom with four subjects being taught at once, English two, research one, two, three, and four. The day continued, ending at the normal 2:05. The next day I checked focus as one would sense a big mistake from being in that room, and saw that I no longer had a sixth period, with my schedule going from fifth to seventh period. The day was busy as I was volunteering to help with resources in the office, taking up all the time from periods one-five. The bell signaling the dismissal to lunch led to me going to the guidance office to fix the absence, this led to me having a choice of what I wanted to have in place for my absent sixth period. I was given a selection of classes ranging from Spanish 4 honors to weight training, yet I chose AICE media studies because it not only helps me get further towards my AICE diploma goal, but also because it has elements of entertainment that seem like they would be not only beneficial short-term, but also long-term. These elements range from blog creation to media analyzation, making me excited and willing to choose to take AICE media studies.
